Visiting Beijing United Family Hospital During COVID-19 Outbreak
Recently, Beijing United Family Hospital has received questions from patients on visiting the hospital during COVID-19 outbreaks in Beijiing. Beijing United Family Hospital cares about your health and is here to support your health and wellbeing. The hospital is open on normal schedule with its Emergency Room and Fever Clinic running 24/7. Please read on for more information and details.

Making Regular Appointments
Call 24hr customer care center at 4008-919191.
Make an appointment on UFH Patient Portal.

Coming for Regular Appointments
Beijing Health Kit green code.
Present negative COVID-19 test result within 48 hours.
except for children under 3 years old.
If you have Health Kit green code but no 48hr COVID-19 result: you will be directed to a designated area and do a COVID-19 test first.
Bring your valid ID (ID or passport).
Arrive 15-30 minutes earlier.
Scan Hospital’s QR code on Beijing Health Kit.
Have your temperature taken by Hospital staff at the entrance.
Fill out a COVID-19 screening form.
Only one company allowed for each patient (two for children under 3).

Fever Clinic
Only at Beijing United Family Hospital.
Fever greater than 37.3 Degree Celsius, underarm.
Fatigue, muscle pain, nasal congestion, runny nose, sore throat, dry cough, loss of smell and taste, diarrhea, conjunctivitis.
Patients will be required to take COVID-19 test on the site.

Critical and Emergency Situations
Patients in critical and emergency situations or transported by ambulance will be treated through Green Channel Process.
ER physicians will see patients first regardless of the 48hr COVID-19 test result. Patients and accompanying persons will be required to take COVID-19 tests.
Emergency Room is available at Beijing United Family Hospital and United Family Women’s and Children’s Hospital (no Fever Clinic).

Inpatient
Newly admitted patients: COVID-19 test before admission; Regular tests after admission based on the ChaoYang Municipal Health Commission requirement.
Accompanying persons not allowed under the current circumstances unless absolutely necessary. The accompanying person is required to take COVID-19 tests same as the patient. Temperature needs to be taken twice per day.
Closed-off management rules: change of accompanying persons not permitted. No visitors.

OB Patients
Regular appointments: please refer to “Coming for Regular Appointments” process.
Inpatient: please refer to “Inpatient” process.
Fever: please refer to “Fever Clinic” process.
Emergency: abnormal or emergency situations please call OB Clinic (010-5927 7051 regular hours) or the delivery room (010-5927 7100 24 hours). Follow the advise or come to ER.

Emergency But Health Kit Pop-up or Yellow Code
Ask your community committee (社区居委会 she qu ju wei hui) to call 120 to arranged an ambulance transfer.

If Tested Positive for COVID-19
BJU will keep patients who tested positive for COVID-19 in a specific negative pressure room.
It is mandatory for Beijing United Family Hospital to report to the Beijing CDC.
The CDC will advise to where the patient will be needed to be transferred for further treatment.
